Add Pictures Using Picture Library Slideshow Web Part
A SharePoint Online tutorial by Peter Kalmström
In
the demos below Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer
of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, explains how you can
use the Picture library to store images.
The benefit of using a Picture library is that you by default
get three different views in the library.
The Thumbnails view, which shows thumbnails of all
pictures.
The Slides view, where you can move between different
pictures.
The All Pictures view, which looks like a standard
library list.
Peter also shows two examples on how you can add pictures
from a Picture library to a classic SharePoint page using
a web part called Picture Library Slideshow. Note that the
Picture library must be in the same site as the page for
this to work!
These are the steps to add pictures to SharePoint using
the Picture Library Slideshow Web Part:
Click on Edit on the top right of the page. The
page will open in Edit mode.
Place the mouse cursor where you want to add a picture.
Open the INSERT tab and click on Web Part.
Under Media and Content, select Picture Library
Slideshow Web Part.
Click on Add.
Move the cursor over the top right corner of the
web part. Expand the accordion and click on Edit Web
Part.
Select picture library and do other settings after
your choice.
Click OK, and then save the changes by clicking
on the Save button.
The Picture Library Slideshow will be displayed
on the page.
