Links in SharePoint – Intro

Links are the foundation of everything on the web. A link is formally called hyperlink, and it is a reference to another specific web page, section, document, image or sound. A highlighted or underlined word or phrase indicates that there is a link which diverts to another location.

Another way to distinguish a link is that when you hover over a hyperlink the mouse cursor will transform into a little hand.
