Enhance SharePoint list that contains imported Excel
data

In
the
previous demo, Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer
of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, described some problems
with the SharePoint list that is created when you use the
Export to SharePoint button in Excel.
Unfortunately the automatically created list does not take
advantage of all SharePoint features. In demo below, Peter
gives some tips on how to make the new list better adapted
to SharePoint:
Enable versioning, so that you can see different
versions of the list. This possibility is one of the
major benefits with having the data in SharePoint instead
of in Excel.
Change the default view from Datasheet to Standard.
Add
an Edit button to the Standard view.
Hide columns that don't need to be displayed,
to get a cleaner view.
Create more views to show the data from different
aspects.
