In
the demo below, Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer
of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, will start a series
that shows how to create a solution for the management of
recurring tasks in SharePoint. The app connects to a Tasks
To Do SharePoint list.
The solution uses two SharePoint lists: The Task Templates
list has information about all tasks that must performed
on a recurring basis. The Tasks To Do list has instances
of the tasks that must performed today.
Each day, a Power Automate flow goes through the Tasks Templates
list and creates instances of the tasks for the current
date in the Tasks To Do list.
The unfinished tasks are displayed in a powerapp, where
users also can set them to Done, search tasks and have instructions
on how to perform them.
We will present the Recurring tasks solution in five articles.
In the demo below, Peter creates the two SharePoint lists.
The the
next demo, Peter will create the flow that makes sure
the correct instances of the recurring tasks will always
be created in the Tasks To Do list..
