Excel 2016 from Scratch
Formatting Cells
An Excel tutorial by Peter Kalmstrom
In this demo in the Excel 2016 from Scratch series, Peter
Kalmstrom shows how to use cell styles so that different
kinds of cells get different formatting. He recommends to
distinguish between cells that contain explanatory labels,
cells that should be used for input and cells with formulas
that are used for calculation.
Peter shows:
- How to use the standard Office formatting tools
in the Excel ribbon to format cell content.
- How to undo changes by using the key combination
Ctrl + z or the Undo icon.
-
How
to use the predefined Excel Cell Styles to give
different formatting to different cells, depending on
their content.
Peter uses Excel 2016 for his demo, but the Excel basics
are the same for later versions of Excel.
